Warren Moon was born on November 18, 1956, in Los Angeles. At an early age he lost his father. His mother brought him up along with his six sisters. He liked football from his childhood days and gradually, it became his passion. In his early years, he wished to be a quarterback player and he adhered to that position throughout his life.

Marriage and Family

He married Felicia Fontenot Hendricks on March 8, 1981, at an age of 25 and became the father of four children. However, this marriage did not work for a long time, and he divorced Felicia on April 24, 2002. He married Mandy Ritter in 2005.

Career of the Player

Warren Moon excelled as a football player from his university days. After leaving the University of Washington, he spent five years, from 1979 to 1983, in the Canadian Football League among the Edmonton Eskimos, and led his team to win five Grey Cups.
Then in 1984, he became the member of NFL and through his best performance, immediately became the team's opening quarterback.
He is the oldest player to score a touchdown at the age of 40. He played for the Houston Oilers (1984-1993), Minnesota Vikings (1994-1996), Seattle Seahawks (1997-1998) and Kansas City Chiefs (1999-2000).
In the year 2000, his career as a player came to an end as he took retirement. He is the first person who was induced and enshrined into both the Canadian Football Hall of Fame (2001), and the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 5, 2006.
